It has been handcrafted in a factory in Birmingham, England for over 100 years.
Mr. Joseph Hudson (the founder of ACME Whistle) designed the Metropolitan Whistle in 1883 and registered Metropolitan as a trademark in 1884 and officially became the equipment of the Royal Police.
All silver chickens engraved with "Metropolitan" are still made by ACME Whistle in Birmingham, England.
