Collection: BIG JOHN
🎌BIG JOHN is the first person in Japan to develop denim.
Big John was founded in 1940 in Okayama, mainly engaged in the production of uniforms. At that time, it obtained fabrics from an American manufacturer that supplied fabrics to Levi's and processed and manufactured them in Japan.
Later, Levi's protested against suppliers providing cloth to Big John, so Big John cooperated with Kurabo, a famous Japanese cloth factory, and began to develop its own denim. The first seven trials of research and development all failed, and it was finally successful on the eighth trial, so the cloth was named KD-8, K=Kurabo, D=Denim, 8=eighth success.
